Kathleen Goncharov is the Senior Curator at the Boca Raton Museum of Art. She served as the U.S. Commissioner for the 50th Venice Biennale, curating an exhibition by Fred Wilson for the American Pavilion. Goncharov has organized international exhibitions in Cairo, Rio de Janeiro, New Delhi, Bologna, Venice, and Rome, as well as numerous exhibitions and projects throughout the United States.

For fourteen years, she was the Curator of the University Art Collection at The New School in New York City, where she built a significant art collection and organized public programs for the Vera List Center for Art and Politics. Alongside her curatorial career, Goncharov has worked as an artist for the past 40 years—a facet of her career that was not widely known until the fall of 2022.

Goncharov’s debut solo exhibition, “Above and Below,” was held at Olympia (New York, NY, 2022). The exhibition received attention in Artforum and Art Plugged.
