Melissa Meyer received both a BS and MA from New York University. Her extensive exhibition history includes solo exhibitions at Lennon, Weinberg, Inc. (New York, NY), Elizabeth Harris Gallery (New York, NY), Rebecca Ibel Gallery (Columbus, OH), Holly Solomon Gallery (New York, NY), and Galerie Renee Ziegler (Zurich, Switzerland). Meyer’s development has been highlighted in two traveling exhibitions, one originating at the New York Studio School (New York, NY) and the other at Swarthmore College (Swarthmore, PA).

Recent group exhibitions include The Jewish Museum (New York, NY), Texas Gallery (Houston, TX), Montclair Art Museum (Montclair, NJ), The Hyde Collection (Glens Falls, NY), and the National Academy of Design (New York, NY), of which she is a member. She has completed public commissions in New York, Tokyo, Shanghai, and at the U.S. Embassy in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.

Meyer’s work is included in the collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Museum of Modern Art, the Brooklyn Museum, the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, The Jewish Museum, and numerous other public and private collections across the United States. She was awarded a Rome Prize from the American Academy in Rome and has received grants from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Pollock-Krasner Foundation, and a fellowship from the Bogliasco Foundation. Meyer is also a frequent artist-in-residence at Yaddo in Saratoga Springs, New York, and at the Vermont Studio Center.
